How we build this chart

Every Sunday we compare three things: what our readers search for on Writenotes, how often each song appears on public gospel charts across Africa and the wider world, and what worship teams report from their own Sunday sets. Every title links to a song study on this site with structure notes and, where available, an embedded official video.

Reader searches What people type into our search box each week.
Partner charts Public gospel and worship charts from identified publishers.
Worship reports What teams tell us they are singing on Sunday.
Not included Paid placements, download counts, and anything we cannot verify.

Common questions about this chart

Is this based on sales? No. We do not sell music. The chart is based on searches, partner gospel charts, and worship team reports.
How often does it update? Weekly, usually Sunday evening or Monday morning. The date at the top shows the last update.
Can I suggest a song? Yes. Send it via the YouTube or TikTok links in the footer.
Why do some songs show initials instead of a picture? When no official video is available, we show the artist's initials in our brand colours rather than use an image we cannot verify.
