Writenotes is two things under one name: a public editorial website and a separate notebook app. Here is what each does, what neither does, and how the content on this site is handled.
The site at writenotes.space is the editorial side. It publishes song studies (meaning, story, structure, key, chord guide, rehearsal plan), gospel music news written by Writenotes staff from research across verified publishers, a weekly trending chart built from reader searches, partner data, and worship team reports, and learn guides on sol-fa, harmony, song structure, and rehearsal preparation.
Everything on the site is free and public. No account required. No paywall. No login.
The app at app.writenotes.space is the notebook. It is where a singer, choir member, or music director keeps their own work: rehearsal notes, chord charts, sol-fa notation, and separate vocal parts. The app is a private workspace, not a public content feed.
The site and the app do not sync. Song study pages on this site do not appear in the app, and notes written in the app do not appear on this site. They share the Writenotes name and brand, but they are independent experiences.
No. Writenotes is a study and rehearsal resource, not a lyrics library. Where you need the full words, we link to the publisher or the streaming platform. The songs belong to the original artists and publishers, and we respect that.
No. Where an official video exists, we embed it from the artist's official channel or link to it directly. We do not re-host music.
No. The app is where you keep your work, not where parts are generated. You write your own charts and parts, and the app keeps them organised and searchable.
Every week we combine three things: what readers search for on Writenotes, what public partner gospel charts show, and what worship teams report singing in their own services. We do not sell chart placements. We do not accept paid placement in the news, the chart, or the guides.
We research reports from verified publishers, write our own articles, and credit the original source on each article. We do not publish unverified claims, and if a story cannot be verified, it does not appear.

Writenotes.space is a free, public music site. Study what a song means, the story behind it, its structure, its key and chord guide, and how a team prepares it for Sunday. Follow verified gospel news. Learn practical skills through plain-language guides.
No account is required. Nothing on the site is behind a login or a paywall.
The Writenotes app is where you keep your own work. Save rehearsal notes, chord charts, sol-fa notation, and separate vocal parts in one place. Keep your songs searchable and editable, and prepare your notes before rehearsal.
The app is a separate experience. It is not the same as the site, and your song study pages here do not sync to it.
The public site and the Writenotes app are two different experiences. The site is free and open, and does not require an account. The app is where you save your own work. Your song study pages on this site do not sync to the app, and nothing you write in the app appears on this site. They share the Writenotes name and the same brand, but they are independent.
Songs on this site belong to the original artists and publishers. Song studies are written by Writenotes staff and are presented for study and reference only.
